Willamette Valley
The Willamette Valley wine region, once known for its fruit orchards and nurseries, has become one of the United States' premier producers of cool-climate varietals like pinot noir. Start your wine country tour with hotel pickup from downtown Portland, and make your way by Mercedes Sprinter Van to three wineries carefully chosen by us. Portland is the perfect hub for exploring quiet backcountry roads through Oregon’s wine country, with more than half of the state’s 500 or so wineries located about 45 minutes away in the nearby Willamette Valley taking in beautiful vistas of gently rolling hills that give way to the expansive valley with views the Cascade Mountains. At each winery, taste a select group of varietals that will please even the most discerning palate, from reds like Pinot Noir Cabernet Franc to award-winning Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Rose, Riesling & more. ITINERARY Wineries visited in this region may vary based on day of the week and winery availability.

My family and I did a quick trip to Portland and the coast or Oregan this summer. It was our first time visiting this beautiful state. We signed up the the wine tour and were picked up at our hotel by our tour guide Aaron. He was a delight! Aaron shared his stories, knowledge and experiences with us around the work, the wineries we visited and the importance and history of the AVA in the areas we were wine tasting. We were impressed with the wineries and their perspectives, purpose and passion behind their creations. We loved the choices we were given, and purchased unique wines from each of the three vendors. Our tour consisted of visits to Roca Winery, Methven Family Vineyards and Lady Hill Winery. All were wonderful, however Methven Family Vineyards was exceptional. Ryan's took the time to walk us through the steps and phases of wine making. His story, passion and vision for his wines was the highlight of our wine tour. He was a gracious host and invited all questions our group wanted to ask. We were so thankful for the lovely snacks provided by Lady Hill Winery to compliment the wine choices we sampled. Overall a fantastic experience for those who enjoy the grapes!

Took this tour in June and the weather was beautiful. Niko was a fun and entertaining guide. The wineries we visited were beautiful with great views of the valley and Mt. Hood. Took home some delish Pinot Noir. Would definitely recommend this tour.
