What To Expect

The Wizard of Oz Museum

Dolls, Comics, toys, maps, original props and costumes, collectible figurines, posters, and fine first editions (including the earliest recorded copy of the book, THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ from 1900 are just some of the treasures waiting to be experienced – with plenty of surprises (and photo ops!) along the way.

My family and I had an awesome day today at the museum. It was a great experience, the kids loved the yellow bricks. Thank you Fred, Palina and staffs for the tour and always been so kind with us.

We walked down to the museum from the Hampton Inn, (It was a long walk)…After hearing another couple at breakfast talking about it This is a museum, made up from the owners extensive personal collection of Wizard of Oz memorabilia and a room with an immersive show. There is a small gift shop upon entering, where you pay to enter the museum. The staff is very knowledgeable about the Original Wizard Book and the movie that came out in 1939. The display cases of memorabilia have QR codes, that you scan with your smartphone that tells you about the cases contents and history of it. Even if your not Wizard of Oz superfan, this was a very interesting and informative visit.

Had a wonderful experience at the Wizard of Oz museum in Florida. The Manager, Jackie, was beyond kind and knowledgeable about all things OZ! She made this experience unforgettable for us! We learned so much that was not included in the movie, and about all of the other books in the series and what the differences were between the movie and books; as well as some insight into Frank Baum's life and history. We highly recommend a visit to this museum if you love the Wizard of Oz!
