White Wolf Sanctuary is a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization that was was founded in 1999. Our mission is to preserve and protect wolves, promote the recovery of wolf populations where appropriate and encourage conservation through education of all wildlife and the role it plays in the natural world.

Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
The weather does vary. We recommend dressing for cool, possibly wet weather. Please wear long pants and close-toed shoes. Our road is not suitable for low profile vehicles such as sports cars. Pets are not allowed on the sanctuary grounds.

This was a dream come true! I had always wanted to see an Arctic Wolf and we got to see multiple wolves who are treated with respected in a space where they can be themselves. This sanctuary is on 35 acres that are accessed on a mile 1/2 gravel road so be ready for a fun gravel trek! The wolves at the sanctuary were all born in captivity (not taken from the wild) and they clearly cared for and loved. The first part of our visit was informational sharing the important & advocacy of wolves in ecosystem and their importance in our history. The second half was walking around the spacious enclosures and getting a glimpse at each wolfs unique personality. Nicola (our host) was very patient and informative on the lifestyle of wolves and the way the pack mentality works. The howls of the wolves are hauntingly beautiful and I would recommend this sanctuary to anyone who is interested in these gorgeous and misunderstood creatures!

Nicola was wonderful and super patient with our 2 year old who wanted to interrupt her repeatedly. We had so much fun listening to the wolves singing and howling. Two of them followed beside us as we walked by so it felt like truly walking with the wolves. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience and we will be back again.

This was my wife and eyes favorite activity from 2020 and one we will gladly do again on our next trip to the Oregon coast. Nicola was extremely friendly and informative, and the wolves are beautiful beyond expectation. Thank again for the great memories!
