Safari tour to see Rushmore, Crazy Horse and the Black Hills is a great way to tour around. The guides/drivers provide great history and educational tidbits during the tour. It's also a relaxing way to tour the area instead of driving your self.

Overall, our Buffalo safari tour was okay. Larry was a very pleasant tour guide but didn't provide the energetic and entertaining commentary that we expected based on other reviews. Unfortunately, he also speaks very softly so it was difficult to hear him most of the time. I called the day before our tour to confirm lunch plans and was told by Rich that we would stop by a Subway which was okay with me. However, the day of the tour Larry pulled out a cooler with premade subs that looked like they were from a gas station. I was very disappointed as my daughter doesn't eat lunch meat and there were no vegetarian options. (I would have specified this the previous day had I not been told we would be taken Subway where we expected to create our own sandwiches). All that aside, Larry did a great job of driving us to different areas to enjoy views we may have otherwise missed. My kids thought the open top van was pretty cool.

Hi Tammy - I'm sorry the tour did not live up to your expectations. I am glad your kids enjoyed the open top experience though . . . the convertible tops allow everyone to see more and get photos without having to leave the van. It can be difficult to hear the guide at times with the top open. So, we have added PA systems to our vehicles just this week. The drivers have boom mics and speakers are now placed in the rear of the vans. I'm sorry we didn't have them installed for your tour. And I apologize for the miscommunication about the lunch. Normally we stop at the Custer City Subway and everyone orders what they want. However the day before we had to stand in line and it took 40 minutes for our guests to get their sandwiches. The Sturgis Rally has started and thousands of bikers are now here. So I decided to purchase sandwiches at the local Walmart for now so we can spend more time touring instead of standing in line. We will be going back to Subway after the Rally ends this weekend. Thank you for your review . . . it's very important that we know how we can improve our services. Be Well - Rich

I can't say enough about this company. I talked to Rich on the phone before booking and he was a wealth of information. He booked a private tour for the 6 of us, picking us up at our hotel in one of the open top woody vehicles. My husband has health issues and traveled with a wheel chair and they were glad to accommodate that and make it a private tour. Jeff arrived at the hotel and spent a 9 hour day with us. It was wonderful to have a driver/guide/information specialist for the day. I must admit the heat began to make us wilt by late day but he put the top back on and AC. Our teen grandchildren loved the open and being able to stand up at times. Rich had sent me links to various routes we could do with stops on our other days.Cindy rode with us for her first day of work and was helpful to me. Thanks for a great day.

Thank you JR for your kind review. Jeff is good as a guide and is a great person . . . he is our first choice for any special needs tours. We are very happy that you and your family enjoyed your day. Our guests comfort is foremost and when things heat up or get too cool . . . we open/close the top and use AC/Heaters as needed to keep everyone comfortable. Thanks again for your review and I hope you will return someday. Be Well - Rich
