We always use Big bus tours when taking a city break due to our past experiences so did the same whilst in NYC. But unfortunately this time was disappointing. The drivers lacked enthusiasm and the onboard audio was out of sync with the landmarks as we passed them.

It was great to be able to hop off/hop on at any of the stops, the uptown loop gave me everything I was looking for, for our first trip to NYC. Signage for the bus stops would be EXTREMELY helpful! as well as better command of the english language for the bus drivers, some were amazing, but the last one we had did not seem to comprehend the english language well enough to answer some basic questions (ie. he had decided to make a non noted stop along the piers, when asked if this stop was the only one - as it should have been across from pier 81 per the brochure and webpage) all he said was stop 10, stop 10.

I figured I'd do this bus tour for my elderly parents since my dad cannot walk to far. Well it was a horrible experience for us. Was told that the red bus runs every 15 minutes well we waited over an hour at Stop 7 and then when the bus showed up the driver vanished for what seemed like 10 minutes. We were going to get off at stop 2 which was the closest to our lunch reservation spot, well as we get close to stop 1 the driver just pulls over and looks back and says this bus is out of commission you need to get off and will have to walk the rest of the way. We get out and walk to stop 1 to get on that bus to take us to stop 2 well right before we get on one of the buses a Big Bus Tour worker yelled a really loud F bomb!!, I have heard this word before many times but there were kids out there and it was just unprofessional to act this way in front of paying customers. That's when I decided to just walk the rest of the way to our lunch spot. During this whole process I had to change my lunch reservation 4 times. Horrible waste of time and money!!!
