Amelia Island

The eight flags tour takes you on a historical journey through all of the locations that those flags have flown over the islands incredible history. The only location in America to have had this number of independent flags. You will travel through the historic downtown district and out to the original Fernandina. On our journey we will cover each of the flags, the period from which they flew and the historical significance behind all of those dates from a historical perspective.

It’s not often that you hit the perfect trifecta of tours ….good weather, small group ,and most importantly a very knowledgeable tour guide, Daniel Daly. We thoroughly enjoyed learning about the island’s long history. We travel extensively and this was one of the best tours we’ve taken. We did not want it to be over

It’s alway the perfect environment when a small intimate group with a love of local history ride out with us and immerse themselves in the fabulous legends this island has to offer. It’s without a doubt the most magical of islands, with a deep and interesting past. Cemetery tour and the history of the people buried there. The story of the nuns and the crosses that represented them was amazing. The history of the families that lived in the historical houses.

The cemetery at Bosque Bello is indeed a fascinating tour in it’s own right. The people that lived in the Historic Downtown area throughout the Golden Years of Fernandina are fascinating and gets you close to a trip back in time. We are always ecstatic and over the moon when we read that having a choice, you chose us and we got it right for your vacation. Please come and see us again on your next visit to the Island.
