Tramway cars hold 80 people each and there are no seats. Passengers remain standing throughout the journey up the mountain
Distance is approximately 12,800 feet, with a vertical ascent of 5,873 feet - 15 minutes travel time one way
The tramway is known as a double reversible type of aerial tramway. Each car remains on one pair of track cables moving up and down without turning around. Each car serves as a counter balance to the other, the descending car is helping pull the ascending car up the mountain
Strollers are permitted on this tour
During holiday periods, you may experience long lines. We recommend you travel outside of these peak times to fully enjoy everything the tramway and mountain have to offer.
There is parking in 13 paved lots near Valley Station. There is free shuttle service from parking lots to Valley Station entrance available weekends and holiday periods

My Wife and I took the "Tramway" to the top of the Mountain Park. WOW, what an experience. The Tramway keeps on turning 360" the entire way up so you get to see the Mountain as well as the entire Palm Springs from all angles. Once you reach the Mountain top a whole new experience awaits you. I went on a day with weather of over 90' On top of the Mountain it was breezy and in the 5os! We took a nice walk taking in the fresh air and the beautiful natural scenery. We just couldn't get enough of it! And yes. The Tramway folks do care about your safety. THEY FOLLOW ALL COVID 19 rules!

This is just a must-do. We got the Senior discount, but parking is $10 also, still worth it! We didn't believe it turned 360 degrees, but the floor turns! You get about three round trips before you hit the top. We thoroughly enjoyed the top, clear up to the overlook. Unfortunately me and altitude rising 5,000 ' rapidly made me woozy.

Bring wallet- $10.00 to park, $50.00 plus to ride the tram-To get your photo's that a man takes on the way up costs $30 plus, have to buy the package and she gives you a receipt, no photo- You have to have them printed on your own.
