This tour is totally customizable – you choose the length of the tour, what time you want to be picked up, and what you want to see.

I love San Francisco and have spent 20 years studying and exploring the city. I’ll work with you to plan your tour so you can see the famous sites and the hidden gems other tours can't go to or don't know about. I’ve designed this to be the type of tour I would take if I visited San Francisco, but where you go is up to you. I make suggestions along the way, but how long you spend at any site is up to you. You're never rushed, and never have to wait for other people. It's all about you!

Plus, it's fun! In the convertible MINI Cooper, you see everything up close and personal as we drive along.

I love showing guests San Francisco, and talking about the history and culture of this unique and special city.

Drive through this former Army base turned national park. Stop and see the Yoda statue if you want.

North Beach

Learn the history and culture of this neighborhood that is a favorite of locals and visitors alike.

Lombard Street

If the time is right and there isn't too much traffic (usually weekend and holiday afternoons) we drive down the famous crooked st. If we can't drive down, we can at least drive by, and get out for photos if you want to.

Chinatown

Drive through this neighborhood, and learn about its history and culture. As I talk about the architecture, you can look up an see it as we drive through in the convertible MINI Cooper.

Haight-Ashbury

Drive down the street made famous in the 1960's, and learn why the music and culture made resonated around the world.

Golden Gate Park

Drive through the park, see the museums and the Japanese Tea garden. Guests enjoy driving through and learning the history of this urban garden created on top of 1,017 acres of sand. If open, there is an opportunity to go into the observation tower of the DeYoung museum.

Twin Peaks

Experience a spectacular view of the entire city, the Bay, and if the weather is clear, bridges as far south as Silicon Valley and up near the wine country.

16 Avenue Tiled Steps

The 16th Ave Tiled steps are only part of what you can see. I can show you a lesser known but equally as impressive tiled staircase, and what these staircases looked like before they were transformed into this urban art piece.

My daughter and I were traveling back to SFO for a late night flight back to NYC. We wanted to see the city, but had little time. I found Reed's company on Trip Advisor and his reviews were fantastic, so I booked a 3 hour tour with him. What a wonderful experience! Reed is the sole tour guide of his company, I was happy to learn that, and recommend so you know you're getting Reed as your guide, and you definitely want this man as your guide to this fabulous city! I asked Reed if he were from San Fran, he grew up in the suburbs of the city, his father and grandfather were both natives, and he always loved it so much, he moved there when he was an adult. My daughter totally related to this, she's a kid who's grown up in the suburbs of NYC, Bergen County in NJ, just 15 miles from the GWBridge, and calls NYC her city and said although she thought the Golden Gate bridge was awesome, she was happy to drive home across her bridge, the GW.... LOL! Anyway, Reed designed a tour for us that was absolutely perfect! He picked us up at a garage he recommend, since we were new to the city, it was the perfect location and easy to find via GPS. The car was perfect for two or three tourists, a convertable mini cooper, and blankets are even provided! Reed asked if there were any specific places we wanted to see, I requested the Haight, I wanted my 17year old who is into music to experience it and learn about it, Reed was the perfect man for the job! So we toured Nob Hill, with stops in front of the Cable Car Museum, drove through China Town and North Beach (SanFran's Little Italy), where we stopped at Tony's for a famous slice (as a New Yorker, can can say it was a good slice of Neopolitan pie, but better than Brooklyn, I'm not too sure <3 ), The Columbus Tower aka TransAmerica pyramid, Washington Square Park and Saints Peter and Paul Church (Joe and Marilyn fame), Telegraph Hill and Coit Tower, Lombard Street (the infamous crocked drive), The Marina District and the beautiful Palace of Fine Art, San Fran's National Cemetery, views of Alcatraz, Fort Point and great views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park and it's museums and gardens, Haight-Ashbury, Alamo Square and it's Painted Ladies (aka Full House TV show). Since we were parked close enough to Ghiradelli Square and the Warf, Reed dropped us off at our parking lot, and we walked down to those spots and enjoyed the rest of our time in San Francisco, that beautiful City by the Bay. If I haven't said I HIGHY recommend REED, let me say it again, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND REED! He's so knowledgable, so kind, reminded us this tour was OURS and we could do/see/stop/eat whenever and whatever we wanted... and he didn't fail on delivering those promises and more! He was able to answer our questions including what a Precidio actually is, and recommend restaurants, let us get out and take pictures where and whenever we wanted to, he even snapped a few for us! Don't miss this tour, it's was so much more than we expected! Thank you Reed, hope to see you again in the future! Loved your city, so much <3

The tour was great. Seeing SF in the convertible Mini really brought the city to life. We were able to take in and enjoy more of the sights & sounds SF has to offer. Reed is very knowledgeable and friendly and totally willing to tailor the tour to what the customer would like. Thanks Reed!

Like many first time visitors we wanted to get a view of the city from someone who knew it as a local. We had read his reviews and from the first email to being dropped off at the city's best pizza place at the end of the tour it was a wise choice. Reed really goes out of his way to ensure you see what you want without missing any of the gems that the guide books either don't know about or give little regard for. He brings the history/culture/people of the city to life by his own extensive research on a city he so obviously loves and wants to share.... Funny, quirky, precise, articulate, current...we only had a day in the city but crammed more in than we ever could on other tours. Best bit.... driving over the Golden Gate Bridge in an open topped Mini Cooper - and truly knowing where the term golden came from. The guide books and most of the tours are wrong but not Reed he's taken the time and trouble to get it right. And get him to show you the iron man statue and explain the significance....
