This tour is totally customizable – you choose the length of the tour, what time you want to be picked up, and what you want to see.

I love San Francisco and have spent 20 years studying and exploring the city. I’ll work with you to plan your tour so you can see the famous sites and the hidden gems other tours can't go to or don't know about. I’ve designed this to be the type of tour I would take if I visited San Francisco, but where you go is up to you. I make suggestions along the way, but how long you spend at any site is up to you. You're never rushed, and never have to wait for other people. It's all about you!

Plus, it's fun! In the convertible MINI Cooper, you see everything up close and personal as we drive along.

I love showing guests San Francisco, and talking about the history and culture of this unique and special city.

Drive through this former Army base turned national park. Stop and see the Yoda statue if you want.

North Beach

Learn the history and culture of this neighborhood that is a favorite of locals and visitors alike.

Lombard Street

If the time is right and there isn't too much traffic (usually weekend and holiday afternoons) we drive down the famous crooked st. If we can't drive down, we can at least drive by, and get out for photos if you want to.

Chinatown

Drive through this neighborhood, and learn about its history and culture. As I talk about the architecture, you can look up an see it as we drive through in the convertible MINI Cooper.

Haight-Ashbury

Drive down the street made famous in the 1960's, and learn why the music and culture made resonated around the world.

Golden Gate Park

Drive through the park, see the museums and the Japanese Tea garden. Guests enjoy driving through and learning the history of this urban garden created on top of 1,017 acres of sand. If open, there is an opportunity to go into the observation tower of the DeYoung museum.

Twin Peaks

Experience a spectacular view of the entire city, the Bay, and if the weather is clear, bridges as far south as Silicon Valley and up near the wine country.

16 Avenue Tiled Steps

The 16th Ave Tiled steps are only part of what you can see. I can show you a lesser known but equally as impressive tiled staircase, and what these staircases looked like before they were transformed into this urban art piece.

We loved our tour of San Francisco with Reed! It was informative and the perfect length. Reed is a treasure- we all felt immediately like we were being shown the city by a close friend! If you want to get off the touristy paths and see the real San Francisco I highly recommend this tour. His personal recommendations for restaurant's and other off the beaten path sites made our trip one we will not soon forget. The min-cooper convertible is the icing on the cake- we loved it!

We booked a four hour tour and enjoyed every minute of it. This is the way to see the city. Reed is an outstanding tour guide and really brought the city to life for us. I can promise you that this is the way to see the more of the city. Reed consulted with us on what we liked and wanted to see and then added other things. He is quite the historian and shared the best stories about every site. Trust me you don't want to drive in the city. The Mini-Cooper was quite comfortable and with the convertible top down it provided excellent views and photo ops. We bought 3-day MUNI passes for the rest of the time, which is a good deal, but we could never have gotten to all the places we saw. Well worth the money, such a treat being picked up at your door and having a private tour guide.

We booked this tour last minute. Reed picked us up in his mini cooper and took us around the whole city in two hours. He was so informative and answered all of our questions. He also tailored the tour to exactly what we wanted to see. To be honest had we had more time we would have booked a bit longer with him and got out the car more....but it was still amazing. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone going to San Francisco.
