The devastating impact of the Revolutionary war on the island and rebels acting in the name of higher power. Smugglers, slave traders and pirates have all had a part to play in the evolution of this Islands growth. The eight flags tour takes you on a historical journey through all of the locations that those flags have flown over the islands incredible history. The only location in America to have had this number of independent flags. You will travel through the historic downtown district and out to the original Fernandina. On our journey we will cover each of the flags, the period from which they flew and the historical significance behind all of those dates from a historical perspective.

Sonny was such a great tour guide! He has great sense of humor and history of Amelia Island. I highly recommend this tour! We learned a lot about Amelia Island in the comfort of the air conditioned van.

Very enjoyable. Daniel was so personable and likable that the time just flew by. This was our second trip with Danial and hopefully not our last.

Our tour guide, Sonny, was a very pleasant man who truly wanted us to have a great time. But the tour was a bit unorganized, with random facts about history, religion, real estate, flags, and food all mixed together. It was a pleasant day, I learned a few things, but I would not call this a "can't miss" type of tour.
