The eight flags tour takes you on a historical journey through all of the locations that those flags have flown over the islands incredible history. The only location in America to have had this number of independent flags. You will travel through the historic downtown district and out to the original Fernandina. On our journey we will cover each of the flags, the period from which they flew and the historical significance behind all of those dates from a historical perspective.

Danial was our driver, host, tour guide, historian and absolutely delightful. His grasp of the history, the dates, the people, the events was remarkable, especially because he is from Ireland. Of course, his native accent was charming. We would highly recommend this tour.

It was so much fun with you being on the tour! There is a lot of information to cover, but there is no better way to cover so much history and plan the rest of your trip after taking in a AIHTs excursion around the island in our fully air-conditioned vehicles with complimentary water. 5 Stars are always amazing and we so thank you for your time spent with us.

My husband and I took the tour with Daniel. It was what we expected and more. Daniel was well prepared with the history of the island and very personable. The van was comfortable, and we learned a lot. I would recommend that you take the tour early in your vacation so that you can revisit areas that interest you. Well worth it!
