The eight flags tour takes you on a historical journey through all of the locations that those flags have flown over the islands incredible history. The only location in America to have had this number of independent flags. You will travel through the historic downtown district and out to the original Fernandina. On our journey we will cover each of the flags, the period from which they flew and the historical significance behind all of those dates from a historical perspective.

Fantastic super informative driver/guide Daniel( according to my husband whose memory is better than mine)..beautiful area to visit...afterwards(thanks to our guide) we went to Florida's oldest bar (The Palace Bar)where the bartender also happens to be the mayor of Fernandina Beach....Pippi Longstocking's house (of the movie filmed early eighties)was one of my personal highlights to take a picture of whereas my husband who is a history lover thoroughly enjoyed the many interesting tidbits about Gregor Mcgregor ..one of the earlier colorful characters...

My family discovered Amelia Island three years ago and fell in love immediately. This year we decided to take the Eight Flags Tour and were not disappointed. Daniel’s knowledge of the Island’s history was amazing. His stories were so intriguing that before we knew it our tour was over. The small details the he uses in his stories really affirm all the facts he shares. We highly recommend this tour whether it is your first time in the area or you have been visiting for years.

The houses were beautiful and with Daniel Daly as the guide they came to life for us. He is very knowledgeable and presents very charismatically. His stories about some of the residents were fascinating. The history of the area was very interesting. We recommend the tour without reservation.
