This section of the Colorado River offers scenic views including meadows, valleys, rolling ranch lands, and steep canyon walls and wildlife including ducks, geese, bald eagles, deer, beavers, and big horn sheep -- always something fun to see.

The Colorado River is our favorite family-friendly rafting trip. Beginning as snowmelt high in Rocky Mountain National Park, the Colorado Rockies give birth to the legendary Colorado River. Downstream of the national park, the river character intensifies through the famed and Class 5 “Gore Canyon”, and then below the river gentles. This is where our Colorado River Rafting experiences begin, with an introduction to white water rafting for families, and groups looking to enjoy an iconic Colorado vacation.

Rafting on the Colorado was a terrific experience! Tanner, our guide was very personable and knowledgeable about rafting the river and the ecology of the river and surrounding terrain. Additionally he taught us the basics of reading the river to pick the best navigational opportunity. Although extremely serious about the inherent dangers in rafting and stressing safety above all else, his humor and personality made the trip even more enjoyable. I would recommend this 1/2 day trip with Tanner to anyone searching for the best way to spend an afternoon in colorful Colorado.

Had a great time rafting with the Colorado Rafting Company! Connor was our guide and we had a fantastic time. This is the company I always bring my friends to, especially for first time rafters! Request Connor every time, he's safe, funny and will go out of his way to make sure you have a good trip. Can't recommend these guys enough

The Colorado River canyon is so gorgeous - interesting rock layers, pastures, steep canyons besides the whitewater - it's really an amazing resource to be so accessible! Glad you enjoyed it, and Tanner!
