I understand that New York gets really busy, especially this time of year. However, I was waiting for driver and called him as not arrived on time. He was at least a block away in traffic, no contact with me to say delayed. Me and my friend walked in horrendous rain to get to him. I would have expected that as professional company who regularly do hotel to airport transfers to be aware of road works near hotel and take into account. Luckily I had allowed extra time to arrive at the airport as we would likely have been late if I hadn't. Driver was nice, friendly and polite. He apologized but if I had just waited I may have for free transfer as he would have been more than 15 minutes late
