Resurrection Bay Kajakowa przygoda

Przegląd
This is your opportunity for us to show you first-hand the beauty of Seward, Lowell Point, and Resurrection Bay. While making our way to our kayaking location, learn about life in Seward, both past and present, from your driver-guide, who will narrate as we make our way through town. As we leave the paved streets of Seward, we’ll travel along the shoreline of Resurrection Bay on the gravel surface of Lowell Road. We’ll view turquoise blue waters and beautiful mountain vistas while we travel comfortably by van to our private beach.

Upon reaching our launch location, you’ll meet your kayaking guides for a quick briefing before heading out onto the water. It’s common to encounter sea otters, harbor seals, bald eagles and leaping salmon as we kayak. We may stop to take a short walk on the beach along Tonsina Creek to view a salmon spawning stream (active mid-July to early-September). This the perfect trip for those experiencing kayaking for the first time or for those short on time.

We enjoyed our sunset kayak cruise which is 930pm in late July! The water was calm and beautiful. The instructor was patient and her self confidence helped to make it an enjoyable experience.

Our family had a fantastic time kayaking through Resurrection Bay with Sunny Cove Kayaking in late July 2016! We had 4 adults and 4 teens (ages 11-16) and took the sea kayaking and rain forest exploration combo trip. Our experience was truly unforgettable from the amazing wildlife viewing to the professional and personable staff. Our guides were knowledgeable, safe and fun. They even treated us to hot chocolate as we enjoyed a short hike to the beautiful waterfall.

Of all the activities we did in AK, this was the most memorable looking back now 18 months later. I was initially nervous about booking because the forecast was for rain (this was our first day in AK and we didn't realize that would be everyday). We were lucky and got the last two spots on the boat out of Seward so I recommend booking in advance and not waiting like we did. We ended up with beautiful weather and calm waters. Our guide was entertaining, encouraging and knowledgeable. We were with a group but were able to go at our own pace and didn't feel worn out by the end but it was a nice workout. We went in Aug 2018.
