My family and I had a wonderful experience driving the Road to Hana on Father's Day with both of my parents (octogenarians) and my sister and brother in law and their three children (16, 12 and 10) with Alec guiding us. I rented another Jeep as Alec's vehicle could not accomodate all of us. Alec picked me up at our cruise port, drove me to the airport to obtain our Jeep rental and from then on I followed him along the Road to Hana. He was so wonderful with my parents, making sure that they were having a good time, but safe. The kids had a ball, swimming, swinging from vines and eating Hawaiian Ice at Aunty Sandy's (the rest of us had delicious sandwiches and the Best Banana Bread). We didn't have to hike very far to see the beauty of Maui. We were able to swim in a waterfall (refreshing, not cold! - lol) By the end of our day, Alec took us back to our ship, waited for us to change for the luau that we had planned in Lahaina and drove a group of us there, letting me follow along in our rental jeep. So easy and when I'm travelling, that's how I like it. Relaxing, exciting, educational, and something that the entire family was able to do altogether. Alec helped us have a wonderful, memorable time. I'm sure that there is much that we didn't get to see or do because there were so many of us and of different ages, but for us it was wonderful. Thank you so very much Alec and Mom and Dad say hello and make sure you write! LOL

We wanted to see the road to Hana and didn't want to take the tour bus. Being Jeep people, Jungle Tours Maui sounded just right, and it was. We were picked up promptly at 7am by Alec and discussed what we wanted to do. We are hikers and wanted to see the rain forest and waterfalls. We took several interesting hikes, including one in a bamboo forest preserve, and swam in two different waterfall pools. The water was crystal clear and "refreshing." It felt great after hiking. Alec was very knowledgeable and talked about the island's irrigation system, plants, and trees. He was very concerned about our safety. We had a great lunch on a beautiful bay, ate banana bread after a waterfall swim, and, on the way back, stopped for some wonderful local ice cream. We had a great time, you will too.

I booked this tour one morning we were in Maui as a way to see the road to hana and after my husband read the info on the website, discovered we wouldn't make it to some of the stops we relly wanted to see and it was geared more towards hiking and cliff diving... Which he can't participate in due to a neck injury. So I called Alec 20 minutes after my initial booking and he was very "snippy" about me needing to cancel. He assured me he would refund our money since it had only been a short time since I originally booked. However a week passed and still no refund. No return calls and the night before we had planned the tour he sent a text message to "confirm" although I had already canceled. It took me two phone calls, several text messages, three emails and two PayPal requests to get my refund about a whole month after I was promised. And he deducted the 100$ cancelation fee that he assured me on the phone the same day I booked/canceled from my refund. We ended up going with John from Hana 4 Less to do or tour and it was AMAZING and totally worth it. This guy Alec just totally ripped us off and was SO rude in the process.
