This was an amazing experience due to our wonderful guide Alec and the sheer beauty of Maui. The island is fabulous, but Alec makes it even better by sharing hidden aspects of the road. My 11-year old daughter and I had so much fun with Alec. He was really great about finding experiences for us that both broadened us and were still within our capabilities. I think that Alec would be able to tailor a tour for any ability level. This tour is really for those who are interested in the journey more than the destination and are ready to have an awesome experience. Why bother driving to Hana if you don't take the time to marvel at the sheer beauty? Our journey included numerous beautiful views, secluded hike, a trip to a hidden bamboo forest complete with a waterfall, a viewing an area so beautiful it was part of a movie, and the best banana bread. Everything was really special and we felt well taken care of throughout the journey. I can't imagine a better way to experience the road to Hana.

Just returned from Maui with my family. If you are looking for a one of a kind way to see the sights on the road to Hana, Alec is your guide! Alec has an insiders knowledge of the island, road and all its nooks and crannies you would otherwise NEVER see. Would you rather snap photos of waterfalls from your car to jump back in to follow the traffic OR have Alec put you on a trail to see the waterfall close up! And I mean close! It was great to see the look on peoples faces as we emerged from a trail - "where did they come from?." Be prepared to get a bit muddy but it's a small price to pay for Jurassic Park like scenery, views and photos. Alec puts safety first - we brought our 2 kids (ages 10&11) and he was great with them. They were really awed and loved the hiking. It was great to see. You will also taste the best banana bread on the island for lunch! Alec picks you up and drops you off at your hotel. Just a great way to spend the day and see a unique part of the island in an up close, personal way. Alec makes you a dvd, takes photos, does the driving and leads the hikes. Just awesome!

Have Alec pick you up, do all the driving, create a video memory while you listen to the stories and history, enjoy an open air jeep and enjoy things you wouldn't have otherwise. I have been on the road to Hana before. This was an enjoyable experience for everyone in our party of four. We swam in waterfall fed pools, hiked the bamboo forest, ate lunch at a really great spot. In addition I managed to swing from a vine, film video above the jeep's top, take a lot of fun photos, and enjoy my day with my friends. This is the way to go. And it's tailored to your desires.
