Stop at 3 different wineries to sip and swirl fine Northern California varietals. This open-air trolley will let you experience the picturesque vineyards like no other tour. On this tour, your friendly and knowledgeable guide will take you to three wineries for tastings. You will visit Sonoma's top historic landmarks and enjoy lunch during one of the scenic stops. The tour starts at 10:00 and and ends around 4:30.

We really caught a break on this fun tour. It was raining in the morning, so we actually toured in a large SUV and not in the trolley. There was only me and my wife plus one other guest, so it actually was like a very “private” tour for the 3 of us with our very knowledgeable and capable driver, Richard. We hit 4 wineries and had a blast! Peter at Ravenswood treated us to the most educational and fun “tasting” ever, spending a lot of time in the vineyard. Brandon at Buena Vista (California’s oldest winery) showed us the “back story” with lots of fun facts along the way. After the Madrone winery (aka “The Valley of the Moon”), we finished up with Heather and all the fine folks at Mayo, and joined their wine club! We learned so much, purchased lots of wine and souvenirs, and best of all, tasted numerous amazing Sonoma Valley wines! Lunch is included and I HIGHLY recommend these folks if you are wanting an educational and FUN wine adventure!

And since your the happy kinda person - your welcome back anytime. Let us know when so we can treat our returning guest special.

Tour guide was nice and everything was Nicely organized. The last two wineries could be replaced. Valley of the Moon has poor wine and Mayo was odd as we hung out in a garage to drink.

Thank you for your comments. The Sonoma Valley Wine Trolley tour is designed to take guests to some larger wineries who are owned by a conglomerate as well as smaller family wineries. While we get opinions from many people here on trip advisor, many about Mayo and Valley of the Moon, but most appreciate the smaller down to earth feel of Mayo and love the staff.

On arrival, we learned we were the only ones booked for the trolley tour that day so we ended up with a private tour in an Escalade. To be honest, we were sad at first that we were not going to meet new people and share this experience with a group, but that the company was flexible and let us be a private tour with that personal experience was a fabulous surprise! We visited great wineries, were taught how to get our wine bottles home if we wanted to buy (they made it so easy for us), and received great recommendations on restaurants to try and other wineries to visit during our trip. SO glad we did this!
