Robert Malissa is an award-winning, incredibly funny, laugh provoking, out-of-this -world, comedy magician with low self-esteem (who writes his own bios). He has a very warm style with the goal of sharing the joy inherent in a moment of magic.

Rob encourages participation and ensures that his volunteers and the rest of the audience have a great time.

He is the winner of the Philadelphia Houdini Award and a recipient of both stage and close-up magic awards from the Society of American Magicians.

The entire tour is between 1 to 1.5 hours. The walking time is approx. 1/2 hour. The rest of the time is standing, except for a few locations with some spots to sit.
In the summer, a water bottle is recommended.

Where else can you see magic tricks while going on a walk? The magic tricks were fun to watch and were filled with surprises that you may not expect! Rob did a great job with the walk by providing a little of everything including comedy, magic, education, and history. The length of the walk was a bit over an hour which went by very quickly. The walk took place in Old City and covered a variety of interesting places. Whether you're a first time visitor to the city or an area resident, you will most likely learn something about the city that you never knew before. I highly recommend this walk and would go on it again!

Thanks so much for your review and coming on the Walk. Doing your tour, I mentioned the mural on 2nd street. There is now a building covering the mural. I've learned the tour will constantly evolve with the City. I will miss the mural, but I like the changes I've made to the tour.

I did this with my 12 year old son who is a Magic Fan and I knew he would struggle through another museum tour - it was perfect. Rob has found his niche in combining his native knowledge of the area, along with some exciting magical twists and turns. A perfect combination of light exercise, entertainment, education and relationship. Well done Rob !

My wife and I took the Comedy Magic Walk last year when it was part of the Philly Fringe Festival. This was a fun activity that was COVID-safe, being outdoors. Robert Malissa is incredibly creative and he's created a funny and mystifying experience. He weaves interesting historical tidbits amongst the comedy and magic, and everything is artfully tied together. The magic is fantastic, and the mentalism had me totally stumped for an explanation! I highly recommend this tour -- if you like comedy and magic you'll have a great time!
