Kauai hiking, a 3/4-mile (1.2km) trek up the valley to an enchanting area of waterfalls and swimming holes. On the way back, be picked up in a twin-hulled powered Hawaiian canoe for a pleasant, easy return trip!

Minimum of 4 passengers required for tour departure.
Approximately one guide for every 8 - 12 passengers
Items to bring: Swimwear, footwear with an aggressive tread pattern and that can get wet (i.e. Teva-type sandals or aqua socks), towel, sunscreen, insect repellant, waterproof camera
Minors must be accompanied on tour by a parent or guardian.

Really great tour! Just enough kayaking down the beautiful river, a short hike, swim if you wanted to, then a casual motorized canoe ride back.

Nice little kayak trip, with a short hike to the falls. Neither the kayaking nor the hike was very taxing. Falls is more a series of small cascades, not a giant cataract, but still a nice place. The rope swing over the swimming hole was fun!

The guide and employees were very nice and did a good job. The kayaking was fun and at a nice casual pace. The hike was a pleasant walk through the forest. It was a bit disappointing to get to the end to see such a small waterfall. They did have a rope swing into a small swimming hole near the waterfall. Overall, it was fine, but I might try a different kayak trip next time. This one was good for less adventurous travelers or for young children.

Aloha Markc, Mahalo taking time to review. Your description is spot on for our Hidden Valley Falls Kayak tour. We call it "easy going fun for all ages." The best part for many it the boat ride back agains the afternoon headwind. It is the perfect tour for less adventurous travelers and young children but still allowing them to see some amazing, lush scenery. The rope swing is also fun for all. If you want a more strenuous adventure with the big waterfall then please come back and join us on our Wailua River Kayak Adventure to Uluwehi Falls. It's magical but you have to work it. The trail lis usually muddy and there is no boat ride home. Children have to be at least 5 years old and ready for a full day. Hope we see you again.
