The scenery begins to change as we increase in elevation and views of the cactus fade into pine trees. As we continue further into Northern Arizona, we will travel the outskirts of the Route 66 town of Flagstaff and from the highway, see the San Francisco Peaks among the seemingly endless Ponderosa Pine Forest, the largest contiguous forest of ponderosa pines in the world.

This tour left me in AWE. I really enjoyed everything about it. Our tour guide, Cary, was real, funny and knowledgeable. He kept us entertained on the long drive, answered all our questions and also knew when to let us all nap on the drive back. The van was very comfortable, lunch was filling and all our stops were well needed and timely. I will definitely be booking a tour with Viator in the future.

Grand Canyon is spectacular, and I think everyone in the world knows that, so this review is not about Grand Canyon, but about a specific tour and the tour company that operates it. My experience was average at best, and I think calling this tour "deluxe" is a joke. The mini-van was certainly not deluxe. It had big picture windows, but that's about it. The driver was a nice guy who totally lacked customer service skills. The food arrangements were a disaster. Our time at Grand Canyon consisted of 3 stops at various lookout points, each lasting 30-45 minutes, which made it very difficult to enjoy the vistas, since I had to constantly watch the clock to make sure I had enough time to get back to the pickup point. We encountered a terrible traffic backup on I-17 on the way back to Phoenix, with no rest stops, no snacks of any kind, and no communication from the driver. This tour is overpriced for what it offers, and I would not recommend it. To anyone who wants to visit Grand Canyon from Phoenix, I would suggest an overnight trip. It's too far from Phoenix, and most of your time will be spent getting there and coming back.

My 1st trip to the Grand Canyon and it was magnificent! Driver John was super and gave us info on the ride up! Nathan, his assistant was wonderful and took photos of myself and for the others! We saw a lot and we’re supplied with lots of water. The bus is comfortable, but ac was working overtime, so it would cut off at times. We lucked out and saw a performance by 2 native Americans and it was so cool! I wish that Sedona was part of the tour, but that will have to be next time! Thank you John and Nathan for this day!The lunch was okay, but that was not so important.
