This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

This was an amazing experience. Everyone was very nice and knowledgeable. We enjoyed learning about the sport, the dogs as well as riding! The dogs are well cared for and we enjoyed spending time with them.

I didn't think we would like dog mushing but we absolutely loved it! This was such a fun and great experience! I highly recommend to anyone visiting Talkeetna or Denali Glacier where you can do the dog sledding with AK Sled Dog Tours. The whole operation at AK Sled Dog Tours is an amazing operation! This was our top excursion that we did on this trip to Alaska! Talia and Chloe who were our tour leaders were so informative and professional! My son and I had a great time and are looking forward to hopefully trying dog sledding with them next time!
