The Mardi Gras School of Cooking does small, intimate hands-on classes in the French Quarter. Classes are more like a dinner party with friends. Feel welcomed into our kitchens by the Chefs themselves. From the moment you arrive until you roll out the door our Chefs are friendly, personable and entertaining. Not to mention their culinary skills are impeccable.

Our minimum class size is 2 people. A solo traveler may join an already scheduled class. Call us to hear about the available classes.

For parties of 8 or more, you will have to contact us directly to book. We have questions.

We had an absolute blast! We learned not only how to make great Gumbo and Etouffee, but also learned about chopping and cutting, etc. Cam was very knowledgeable and patient with our questions. Would do this class again for sure - First Class in every way!!

Really enjoyable experience. A little pricey but worth it. Great instruction from the chef and it’s fun to cook with and meet others.

Made reservations for this class before our trip, had read good reviews. It was hard to find at first since our Uber dropped us off at the wrong place :(. But once we got there, we were quickly shown what and where to go. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional. We chopped with our chef while he explained the local foods and history of Cajun cooking. Very informative and interesting. We made 2 of the three dishes, chicken and andouille sausage gumbo, shrimp etouffee’ and our chef David made bananas foster. Yum, yum and yum!! Although we smelled like the holy trinity for the evening, it was worth it! Great conversation, food and wine was included. Try this one! You’ll love it!
