The Mardi Gras School of Cooking does small, intimate hands-on classes in the French Quarter. Classes are more like a dinner party with friends. Feel welcomed into our kitchens by the Chefs themselves. From the moment you arrive until you roll out the door our Chefs are friendly, personable and entertaining. Not to mention their culinary skills are impeccable.

Our minimum class size is 2 people. A solo traveler may join an already scheduled class. Call us to hear about the available classes.

For parties of 8 or more, you will have to contact us directly to book. We have questions.

Fun company and excellent food. Easy to follow. Instructor funny and able to manage all the people. Wine included which added to the joy.

Our favorite experience in our week here in NOLA. For three hours, Chef Preston captivated us by taking us through the preparing and cooking from start to finish of a delicious gumbo and etouffee. The amount of cooking experience required is minimal, and even if you are adept, you might learn a few tips from him! The session was not rushed at all, and there was plenty of time to mingle and drink (it is all you can drink!). Lastly, chef Preston himself was what made this experience so wonderful! He is charismatic yet relaxed, he will teach you about the history and cooking of the food you prepare, and was just a master at his craft. We laughed and smiled all night!
