It’s rich history takes us on a journey through time including the Timucuan Indians who were our first inhabitants as far back as 2000 BC. The flags tell the story of religious struggle and persecution, the effect of Christianity disallowing any other God to be worshiped. The devastating impact of the Revolutionary war on the island and rebels acting in the name of higher power. Smugglers, slave traders and pirates have all had a part to play in the evolution of this Islands growth. The eight flags tour takes you on a historical journey through all of the locations that those flags have flown over the islands incredible history. The only location in America to have had this number of independent flags. You will travel through the historic downtown district and out to the original Fernandina. On our journey we will cover each of the flags, the period from which they flew and the historical significance behind all of those dates from a historical perspective.

Last minute call for this “historic tours” due to other tour company was canceled for less than 4 people & they call me back right away for assuring me “no minimum head count”. Daniel was my tour guide & I received PRIVATE tour (I was the only one) for almost 2hrs. Top of that his knowledge & take a time for my questions,I see his care. Also nice comfortable air conditioned van on muggy 80 F weather. I recommend 100% for everyone ! Thanks Daniel for your kindness, I had a wonderful time !!!
