It’s rich history takes us on a journey through time including the Timucuan Indians who were our first inhabitants as far back as 2000 BC. The devastating impact of the Revolutionary war on the island and rebels acting in the name of higher power. The eight flags tour takes you on a historical journey through all of the locations that those flags have flown over the islands incredible history. The only location in America to have had this number of independent flags. You will travel through the historic downtown district and out to the original Fernandina. On our journey we will cover each of the flags, the period from which they flew and the historical significance behind all of those dates from a historical perspective.

We recently had a wonderful morning with Daniel from Eight Flags Road Tour. He was lively in his presentation of a vast amount of history and was absolutely passionate about the island. He really made us want to come back for a longer stay. We would recommend his tour to everyone! It was truly a tour worth taking!

Daniel, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable. He was informative and kept the tour interesting. It was a history lesson, with a side of humor. Daniel made it interesting, the 2 hours went by fast. I would highly this your to everyone.
