4 Day Half Dome Backpacking

Overview

Our 4-day Half Dome guided backpacking tours are specially designed to make your journey to the summit as spectacular as possible! This guided tour kicks off in Yosemite Valley. From there we’ll hit the trail and guests will hike and camp alongside fabled waters like Sunrise Lakes or the Merced River. Our expert guides make your experience 5-star with delicious camp-cooked cuisine and comfort provisions around camp, while on-trail pointing out the lesser-known factual gems that surround you. The magic climaxes either on the final evening or the final morning, when you’ll climb the cables up Half Dome’s summit for a truly spectacular sunrise or sunset.

My husband and I joined six others for the Glacier Point to Half Dome trip, and it was fantastic. We didn't know our fellow backpackers but bonded through the hiking; we had a range of ages from mid-20's to 60. The guides Gus and Emma were helpful, knowledgeable, and encouraging, and served us some great tofu curry, as well as other deliciousness, which was very much appreciated in the back country! Everyone in our group climbed sub dome, Half Dome and descended the Mist Trail, the Nevada and Vernal falls were spectacular, we saw the sunset glow on Mount Starr King, many high points in the trip, including the company of everyone in our group. The Lasting Adventures company was great with scheduling and communications. Highest recommendation.

I had an excellent 4 day Half Dome hike with Emma & Gus as guides. Both of whom were brilliant, very chilled & informative! I was there on my own but the group made me very welcome & at ease. The Half Dome cables were amazing! Would def go on a trip with the co. again & even before my arrival to the US they were super helpful with non- related trip advice!! A once in a life time experience!!!

Our family of five has just returned from an incredible four days with Lasting Adventures. Our guides Nicole and Emma were great hosts and continuous cheerleaders when the going got tough. The experience of hiking, camping in the back country and eating s’mores will indeed be ‘lasting’. And we saw three bears and a rattlesnake - I’m putting that on a T-shirt.
