4 Day Half Dome Backpacking

Overview

Our 4-day Half Dome guided backpacking tours are specially designed to make your journey to the summit as spectacular as possible! This guided tour kicks off in Yosemite Valley. From there we’ll hit the trail and guests will hike and camp alongside fabled waters like Sunrise Lakes or the Merced River. Our expert guides make your experience 5-star with delicious camp-cooked cuisine and comfort provisions around camp, while on-trail pointing out the lesser-known factual gems that surround you. The magic climaxes either on the final evening or the final morning, when you’ll climb the cables up Half Dome’s summit for a truly spectacular sunrise or sunset.

My experience with Lasting Adventures was nothing shy of breathtaking, literally! It was great physical exercise! It was more than just the physical exercise. The group and the guides created a sense of belonging with every person playing a role in the success of the trip. Jack was a wealth of knowledge for the park, Mike was the glue that kept the moral of the group healthy and exciting. I would do this trip again in a heartbeat if I had more vacation days. Highly highly recommend to anyone wanting to test their mental and physical boundaries! Lots of personal growth awaits on the other side of Half Dome.

This trip was great! I have done hiking and camping before, but not backpacking and was hoping to learn as well as be guided to Half Dome. It was as expected and more! Our group was fun, the guide, Nick, was patient, informative, and an amazing cook. Summiting Half Dome at Sunset was a highlight for sure!

It is impossible to describe how wonderful the Glacier Point to Half Dome adventure was with our guide Nick. Nick and the entire Lasting Adventures team were incredibly professional, and made sure that we thoroughly enjoyed the entire trip and that we remained safe while doing so. L.A. is also very conscious of making sure that their groups "leave no trace behind" on our precious asset Yosemite, and Nick was very informative about how humans impact Yosemite's natural balance. The gear provided by LA was in top shape, our camp meals were delicious, the instruction was thoughtful and professional. I am sure that L.A. has some wonderful guides, but we can't imagine how anyone could be more perfect than Nick was. Highly recommend this trip.
