Me and my family are 6th generation "Gladesmen" and we'd love to show you the Big Cypess National Preserve. This is the largest subtropical swamp in the USA, where plants and animals grow and live no where else in the world. See the elusive Panther, black bear, wading birds, deer, its a photo opportunity of a life time!

We got stuck with a real dud of a tour guide. We literally spent 95% of the time sitting in silence driving around on the buggy. He offered a few facts on the flora and fauna, but that was it. No fun or colorful stories about the region. I don’t think I’ve ever been so bored on a tour before. I actually started reading stuff on my phone to pass the time. He seemed like a nice guy, but offered very little of interest. We also crept along at a really slow speed while another swamp buggy passed us going almost twice as fast, so we covered a lot less ground than the other tour. A big disappointment since other reviewers seemed to have a much better experience.

We had a private tour with Ralph. He was so knowledgeable. I am a native Floridian and would never have even considered hiking thru a Cypress Dome, but it ended up being a highlight! Birds, alligators and lots of new knowledge about the Big Cypress Swamp. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get up close and personal with the swamp!

Booked a 4 hour swamp buggy tour with Captain Steve for 02/24/2021. We were slightly disappointed upon arriving to find that our guide was sick, and that we had someone leading our tour that was "a fill-in". At that point, I thought we just had to make the best of it. Was I ever in for a surprise !! The gentleman that was filling-in was none other than Dusty Crum from the TV show Guardians of the Glades, and one of his friends !! These two men gave us a tour that was informative on the history and biology of the Big Cypress Swamp. These guys were awesome !! They were funny and kept our attention the whole tour. Our thanks to Captain Steve for a well run and equipped operation, and to Dusty for being a world-class guide. I highly recommend this tour with Captain Steve's Swamp Buggy Tours !!!!

Dusty gilled in for me I inhaled dust on that road riding my jeep down it and had to go to the doctor to get straighten out I couldn't breath,thankyou for the good review I'm glad your happy.
