What To Expect

Kachemak Bay State Park

Take a 2-hour (or longer) trip out on the water, catered to whatever your interests might be. Go see humpback and orca whales, birds, sea otters, or just check out the landscape as you cruise into deeper bays that push up against mountains and waterfalls. You can even choose what time of day to go. Are you into photography? Tailer your trip, depart early morning or late evening to capture images in the best light.

We traveled as a family of six ages 15-65 and genuinely enjoyed our trip. Captain Patrick was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He really made our tour interesting and educational. We saw porpoises swimming alongside our tour boat along with a variety of other wildlife.

Abigail was very helpful with the reservation. I drove down from Anchorage to Homer. Captain Zach did an amazing job with taking us out and locating a pod of humpback whales. We also saw dolphins and a pair of bald eagles. Amazing time in Kachemak Bay. Sandy Peak, Grace Peak, Kenai Mountains were spectacular.

Booked a water taxi service to hike in Kachemak Bay State Park, it's a smooth ride back and forth, during our return trip, Captain John took a long way to show us nearby wildlife and seabirds, it's a great experience for us family and kids. Really appreciate his effort to help customers. Highly recommended!
