A successful whale watching -- it's my fourth -- is pretty much focused on whether you see whales and if the boat is conducive to easy access to viewing without crowding. This excursion scored on both counts. The boat was roomy, had an upper deck, enough room on the lower deck without crowding and of course indoor seating for people who got cold or needed to snack. Most of the trips use up to date communication with other boats to know where the whales are. So we saw quite a few Orcas on this trip. I am also a birder and I got some good looks at the sea birds, including a few good pictures from it. I would go with them again.

Holy Moly. The BEST tour. We have gone on whale watching tours in Hawaii, Alaska and Vancouver Island...and we were IMPRESSED with our local company!! Captain Jon and Naturalist Chelsea were fantastic. Very personable and knowledgeable. Now for the whales. WOW.... We saw so many orcas! Breaching, playing, joining other pods and communicating. Thanks to Chelsea for dropping the hydrophone in...incredible... Now we are coming back because all my friends saw my video and want to go! We will be back soon...
