Best of Jackson Hole Wildlife Safari Tour

Overview

Thousands of mule deer, elk, moose, big horn sheep and bison migrate into the valley in search of food each year along with coyotes, fox, bald and golden eagles, swans, and even packs of wolves. This gathering of wintering wildlife makes winter one of the best times to view wildlife in Jackson Hole!

After a full morning in the field we will enjoy lunch together at a local eatery before heading back out for the afternoon. When available, we will take a horse drawn sleigh through the National Elk Refuge into the middle of the largest wild elk herd in North America. Following the sleigh ride, we will head back into the field to spot more wildlife.

The minimum age for wildlife safaris is 8 years old. (Private safaris have no age minimum.)
We have a 48-hour cancellation policy for all single day wildlife safaris. Cancellations made before the cancellation policy goes into effect will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure, and before the day of departure will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations or no-shows on the day of departure will not be refunded. We strongly recommend travel insurance in order to protect you from unforeseen travel interruptions that prevent you from joining us.

Your wildlife safari may stop here. Your guide will educate you on the historical or geological significance of your stop. All stops are dependent on the road conditions, weather conditions and needs or interests of each group.

On-time hotel pick-up and a comfortable vehicle with good snacks. Our guide was excellent and spotted so many animals for us! We were able to get photos of bison, moose, and bighorn sheep. Lunch at the museum was delicious. The sleigh ride through the Elk refuge was fun and our guide made sure we got the best seats! Well worth the price!

Our guide was excellent and very informative. She was excited as we were. We saw a herd of bighorn sheep, a moose close up and bison! 5 stars!! A MUST!!
