Best of Jackson Hole Wildlife Safari Tour

Overview
Thousands of mule deer, elk, moose, big horn sheep and bison migrate into the valley in search of food each year along with coyotes, fox, bald and golden eagles, swans, and even packs of wolves. This gathering of wintering wildlife makes winter one of the best times to view wildlife in Jackson Hole!

After a full morning in the field we will enjoy lunch together at a local eatery before heading back out for the afternoon. When available, we will take a horse drawn sleigh through the National Elk Refuge into the middle of the largest wild elk herd in North America. Following the sleigh ride, we will head back into the field to spot more wildlife.

**Sleigh rides are optional.

HUGE disappointment. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. But we only saw Bison and Pronghorn which we could see daily off the main highway. On our own, we saw moose, elk, bighorn, fox, coyote, and deer. The tour seemed to be more about scenery than wildlife. Based on how easy it was for us to find animals, one would think Tour guides would know where to go. Not worth the money.

Many thanks to Dave for his deep insight into the park! My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our day exploring the Great Teton Park--lots of wildlife and beautiful views! Dave went the extra step post-tour to advise on a potential hike for us the next day. We had a great ~9 mile round-trip on the closed road to Jenny Lake--we still saw wildlife but also the local two-legged wildlife as they were celebrating the end of winter! :-)

I love reading reviews and very rarely write them however, since weā€™ve gotten home my family has asked me 8 times if Iā€™ve left a review for Jeffrey, so here we go... Jeffrey was hands down the funniest, most educated and easy on the eyes tour guide Iā€™ve ever had. He was knowledgeable about the area, had a strong knowledge on plant life and was able to answer all questions about Jackson Hole and the Tetons. He was patient, kind and even made it fun for the teenagers. We came during a shoulder season (early April) so our expectations were low for wildlife activity with the migration but it was wonderful. I will recommend his tour to everyone we know that visits the area.
