Our guide, Lance, was friendly and funny! He gave us a running commentary as we drove the streets of Chicago, which I appreciated!! And at each stop he gave us lots of interesting information. He has people getting on and off at every stop and this might rattle a less experienced guide - but not Lance! And I have to admit, I liked his corny jokes!! NOTE: If you sit on the open air top deck of the bus... it is HOT on a sunny day but it is the best way to see the sights. Just bring a hat!!

We decided to try this in order to get an overview of Chicago and decide which places we might want to re-visit. We got a 2-day ticket, so had quite a variety of guides/driver. All the driver were excellent--amazing how they wrangle those enormous buses through the busy city streets--but our favorite guide was Wanda. She knew a lot of history, was funny and charming and generally terrific. Pick the nicest weather you can, ride on top of the bus, stop at Portillo's for lunch, and have fun. BTW, do be aware that there are no benches or other seating at the bus stops, with the exception of Navy Pier. Also, the buses do have ramps if you're "on wheels" like me.

I decided to take a this tour because it was a great way to explore the city without breaking the bank on Lyft or Uber. I bought the 2-day pass...well worth is because it gave me more time to see the attractions. It is a guided tour the takes you around Chicago’s Must See areas such as the Willi’s Tower, Art Institute of Chicago, and Millennium Park where the famous “bean” of Cloud Gate is located. I never stayed for the entire 2hr tour on one bus, but I particularly liked the tour guide named Wanda because she made it fun and was friendly. I stopped at Hard Rock Cafe to buy a souvenir and one of the tour guides recommended for us to have lunch at Portillo’s...I’m glad I did bec the food was delicious and their chocolate cake was soo good! Definitely try it! Overall, it was a great experience with this company. The staff were friendly. Oh, they even have us plastic panchos (thin ones) because it was raining a little bit.
