My friend and I had a great experience and I am glad we did it. It is a great way to get oriented so I knew that would be worth the time. It was even better due to we had a real person not a recording. Our narrator / guide was Jack and he brought great energy and fun to relaying history of buildings and the City in general. I learned a lot about the fire, the World's Fair and a couple jokes too. He answered people's questions about directions and restaurants...great added value! We downloaded the app so we could time ourselves. I highly recommend the app. We hopped off at the Navy Pier and shopped for. a couple hours the hopped back on to Portillo's for late lunch and were label to complete the whole route in a day (about 1-5:30pm). All while getting the last bus to the last stop nearest our hotel. Our driver, Mario made his way through some tough traffic at the end of the day (rush hour) and handled it all expertly.

We bought the Go Chicago Card and were given access to one day on the Big Bus Chicago Hop on Hop Off Tour. Our hotel was located near both stops 1 and 13 and we decided to start at stop 1 for our day. It was a little difficult trying to figure out where the stop was, but once we figured it out, it was very easy to have our card scanned and given our bus tickets for the day. We had also downloaded the app to get access to the current bus situation. We used the hop on hop off tour to see Chicago and get us to the other attractions. We hopped off at stop 6 for the Adler Planetarium and hopped back on at stop 7, the Field museum. Because it was still the off season, we waited about 30 minutes for the bus. We took the bus from stop 7 all the way through the other stops and hopped off again at stop 3, the Sky Deck. By this time, it was the end of the bus' day, so we knew we would have to figured out a way back to our hotel when we were done, but we didn't mind. My husband and I both thought the bus was the highlight of what we did. We were able to see a lot of the city and get some history and able to get to the places we wanted to go. Would definitely use the Big Bus again!

We only had 1 play day in Chicago so decided this bus tour was the best way to see the area and the sights we wanted to zero in on. This review is really for the guide we had on the bus. Lance Baker.....he absolutely made the trip, he was full of knowledge and humor. Even sang for us. He was very friendly and even chatted to the kids on the tour asking their name etc. We had 2 other guides during the day and they didn't touch Lance. In fact they lost my attention. We were lucky enough to catch the last bus of the day and Lance was again our guide. He remembered us!
