Paid for the admission with the go Oahu card. It was well worth it since we did a lot on the card. Recommended to research the activities since it may come with shuttle bus to some activities and paid admission and extra with others. Well worth it for us. Pro: Very big museum. Could spend more time here. Lots of different variety of museums. Very good planetarium show of what is in the night sky tonight. Con: wish the Lego special exhibit was included in the general admission Would recommend

The variety of Hawaiian history combined with nature and hands on science was a treat. There were activities the day we were there including a ukulele class and dancing. The grounds include interesting plants and flowers. The gift shop includes books for many interests.

If you are interested in Hawaiian history then this is the place for you. This museum is very handicap accessible and is packed with hidden gems of Hawaii past!! You will view living activities like their houses, fishing equipment, clothing, weapons and much more. You will get insight into how and why they did things certain ways. You can take a guided tour or use your smart phone to hear about different items. They also have wonderful ki’i statues and art from the 1800’s to view. We totally enjoyed our time in this beautiful facility. They have a spectacular gift shop as well.
