Overview

Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War. We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history. From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

What To Expect

Salem Black Cat Tours

Your guide will meet you at the Axelrod Walkway park at 28 Charter Street, next to the Peabody Essex Museum, located across the street from the Witchcraft Trials Memorial and Old Burying Point Cemetery Welcome Center.

We took the Ghostly Night Tour during our stay in Salem and this was a fantastic tour! We had a lot of fun learning about the spooky history of the city. We had Daniel as our tour guide and he was extremely friendly and a wonderful storyteller. Definitely recommend!

We went on an evening ghost tour. It was a very interesting and informative tour. Our guide told us all about the haunted experiences others have had and included many historical facts about each location. It was fun and entertaining. She was a very good guide who have us the inside scoop on cool places to visit.
