Black Cat Historical Day Tour

Overview
Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

Jeff was an absolute treat. He knew his history but also brought excitement into each of his stories and locations we were taken to. Jeff seemed very knowledgable about Salem in general and had great local recommendations as well. This tour was one of our favorite parts of the trips! Be careful though...The ghosts we encountered are still haunting us all the way back in Virginia ;)

My friends and I are in town doing Spongebob the musical in Boston and we had the pleasure of having Jeff as our tour guide. He was so animated, knowledgeable, funny, and made the chilly evening warm and entertaining. Ten outta ten would recommend!

Highly recommended. We had Lara as our guide and she was just amazing. She's a local historian and had such genuine enthusiasm when talking about Salem's history. She was so detailed about the different stories, both historical and spooky, that you couldn't help but picture Salem's past. Also, Lara made a Dr. Who reference, so she's my new favorite person. If you decide to do a day or night tour, Black Cat really is the best and worth every penny.
