Black Cat Historical Day Tour

Overview
Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

I’ve been meaning to write this review since we went to Salem over Labor Day weekend (Sep 1-2). I believe his name was Jeff (excuse my poor memory) was an AMAZING tour guide. I’ve been on walking tours in Salem before, and while Jeff hit on some of the typical Salem history, he showed us many new things I’ve never heard of before. Fascinating information! He spoke to the tour with such knowledge, and relayed the information so animatedly. I would definitely recommend this tour, and definitely recommend him as a guide. 10/10.

We had a wonderful tour of Salem with our guide, Daniel. We were a small group so he started off asking us what we were more interested in and geared the tour to that subject. He was very interesting and informative and made the tour very enjoyable. Our daughter asked a lot of questions and Daniel had the answers. If you come to Salem, look up Black Cat Tours and ask for Daniel. You won't be disappointed!

The tour guide was great! Our kids still talk about this tour, and they say it was highlight of the vacation (in which we did a lot). This was a great way to learn the history of Salem. The stories were spooky, and very interesting.
