Black Cat Historical Day Tour

Overview
Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

Our tour guide, Daniel was great! He was very knowledgeable and whitty. I wish it was longer because the stories were so spooky and left me wanting more. I will be doing research about everything Daniel told us! I hope I get to come back one day and do another Black Cat Tour!

We had a great ghost tour with Jeff. He was very knowledgeable and professional. Perfect blend of history and ghost stories that weren't over the top.

Daniel was our guide at last night's tour. By any standard, he possesses a masterful knowledge of Salem and it's rich history. What struck me most is that he did not reduce the discussion to the usual anecdotes about witches. He certainly had great sympathy for the 19 unfortunates executed in the summer of 1692. He knew the specifics of each person wrongfully executed and the principal players of the trials. As we walked the streets of Salem, he was a true treasure trove of details behind many sightings which made for a fun evening. The only thing better would have been for him to get us slimed or an apparition of the stay-puft marshmellow man.

Thank you so much for your review and your appreciation of Daniel's historical interpretation! One of our security guards is a member of several Ghostbusters groups in New England, Gozer must have heard about this and avoided our tour just to be safe!
