Black Cat Historical Day Tour

Overview
Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

This was a last minute booking. We were very pleased with the tour. The groups were kept small and the guide was using a microphone so that you could always hear him. He was funny and knowledgeable. Unlike so many of the other guides we saw walking around, Daniel seemed to be enjoying himself.

This was the third ghost history tour we took during our visit to Salem. By far this was the best tour we went on. It was entertaining, very informative and Daniel was a great storyteller! It wasn’t overbooked with only 21 people and it was chuck full of information and actually creepy. We wish we took this tour in the beginning of our stay in Salem. Daniel did an amazing job!! Definitely highly recommend taking this tour.
