Black Cat Historical Day Tour

Overview
Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

We took the tour today in the pouring rain, and our group was 4 adults and 6 kids (ages 6 -13.) Despite the soaking wet feet and general cold, we LOVED the tour. Daniel was absolutely wonderful and managed to keep all of us, kids included, engaged and entertained. It was actually the perfect mix of history and storytelling, which was exactly what we were looking for in a tour. We'd love to come back again on a day where the weather isn't so horrible because there is also a ton of great stuff to do in Salem. The next time we visit, we will definitely take this tour again. Not to mention that the price is very reasonable!!!

We had read about many ghost tours prior to our arrival. Many to choose from glad we picked Black Cat Tours. Daniel our guide made the experience all the better! His knowledge of Salem and his presentation were excellent. Also the small group made it much more personable. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Salem. Thanks Daniel and Black Cat!!!!

My family and I went had our first visit to Salem this weekend, 10/1-10/3 2016, and we did the Black Cat tour and Daniel was our guide. He was so fun, knowledgeable and a great tour guide ! he knew all the history and all the places where ghosts are usually seen. I would recommend this tour for sure :-)
