Black Cat Historical Day Tour

Overview
Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

Highly recommended tour of Salem. We learned so much, and might just book the same tour again in October just to hear more amazing stories. We were the only ones in our tour on a random Monday night and it was perfect. My son absolutely loved it, still talks about it and about our tour guide as well ❤️

I went on the evening ghost tour on a week night. The guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable about history as well as lore. The stories were historical and spooky. I really appreciated that all the stories were well researched. Highly recommended!!

I had scheduled an afternoon tour with them on Saturday, July 23rd, thinking that we would be part of a larger tour. I then discovered that we were the only ones booked, and then that turned into a longer, more indepth and completely private tour! Instead of the normal 1 1/2 hours it turned into a 2 1/2 hour super secret Salem History tour. It was spectacular. Dan, our tour guide, was not only a very informed tour guide, but also, a genuine historian and an expert on Salem History. The facts and stories were shared easily and with distinct interest. You can tell that he very much enjoys his work and he knows his local lore! My boyfriend and I got the VIP treatment and I could not have been happier! It was a tremendous way to spend the afternoon and I highly recommend it.
