Black Cat Historical Day Tour

Overview
Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

Dan was a great tour guide. The tour led us through Salem, stopping at some of the more notable spots. Dan was exceptionally knowledgable about the Salem area and was able to answer all of my questions. He even knew some fun stories and history about the very hotel we were staying in! We were only in Salem for one night, so we wanted something that incorporated the lore and history of Salem. Did not disappoint! We had a great time!

This is about the 5th ghost tour I have been on in various cities and this was by far the best. Our guide was very friendly, informative, & interesting. He took the time to answer all of our questions and made the tour very worthwhile. I would recommend taking a Black Cat tour while in Salem, Mass.

This is the second tour I've taken with Daniel, and both of them really have been incomparable. The guy is a font of cultural, historical and literary knowledge regarding Salem, and he is so fascinating that my son, nine years old for the first tour, ten for the second, has been enthralled. I have done the evening tour, twice, though I imagine his daylight tours are just as good. And even though we did the same tour over two consecutive summers, Daniel has so much information to convey that the second time around was filled with a completely new array of tales and information.
