Black Cat Historical Day Tour

Overview
Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

The ghost tour was great and Daniel was a brilliant tour guide. It felt personal, not just like your average tour. It was extremely informative and all questions were welcome. Overall it lasted just over 1.5hrs and was great value for money. Glad we picked it over the other tours available.

We took the evening ghost tour and it was awesome. We're Salem residents, so we've heard most of the big ghost stories from around town; I was pleasantly surprised to hear just as many new-to-me stories and historical facts I hadn't known before. Daniel, the tour guide, was super knowledgeable and entertaining. Highly recommend this tour!

We took a daytime tour with Lara and she shared a wealth of information about Salem's history. She was very knowledgeable regarding both the early history of Salem and its history relating to the witch trials. We were interested in the historical aspect of Salem, but they can also tailor a tour for a group interested more in hearing about the supernatural aspect of Salem. I would very much recommend Black Cat Tours for a knowledgeable, in-depth tour of Salem's history
