Black Cat Historical Day Tour

Overview
Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

We opted for the daytime historical tour. Even through we were the only 3 on the tour, the guide was excited and thrilled to give us a "private tour". In fact, he tailored the tour based on what we wanted to see the most. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and was a pleasure to hang out with for the few hours we were in Salem. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in learning more about the history of Salem - especially the witch trials.

My first visit to Salem and while I normally don't do the whole tour guide stuff I thought I'd try something different and researched night tours. I can say that it was an enjoyable experience. Not only was the guide, Daniel, expressive and knowledgeable about the history but he was also ver personable. There was no loud speaker so we were able to ask questions without the intimidation. Not only were we able to learn a lot Salems history but hear a few ghost stories and tragedies intertwined with it. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting for the first time.
