Overview

Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War. We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history. From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

What To Expect

Salem Black Cat Tours

Your guide will meet you at the Axelrod Walkway park at 28 Charter Street, next to the Peabody Essex Museum, located across the street from the Witchcraft Trials Memorial and Old Burying Point Cemetery Welcome Center.

This tour was awesome ! I learned a lot of history scary stories tour ! It was Interesting I was worth the hour and half in the cold ! The tour guide was name was Daniel and he's was awesome he knew the history plus he was funny ! His voice was also very projected but soft spoken and his voice also went with the kind of tour we were part of I highly recommend him too , but if you want a fun scary tour deff check out the black cat tour probably my favorite part of Salem 👍🏼👍🏼

Daniel was the best guide! This was an extremely informative, captivating tour with stops at lots of very historical points in Salem. My husband and I do ghost tours every year for our anniversary and this was certainly one of the best ones we have done. We took pictures which included some really cool orbs. Thanks for a great night and tour, I highly recommend it!

My friend and I have been on another ghost tour in New Orleans so we were eager to take one during our visit to Salem. We actually got this after looking into others and not being able to book with them. I believe it was destiny. Daniel our tour guide was great and fun. He made every stop educational and left you wanting the next stop. He put just enough fun into it with the stories behind the sites. I highly recommend this company over the others that I witnessed from afar
