Black Cat Historical Day Tour

Overview
Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

My friend and I had the unique opportunity to have both Lara and Daniel on our tour. We spent the last week of Halloween (2015) in Salem and took several tours with other tour companies and found Lara and Daniel's accounts more sound than the others. This is why I will only recommend this tour company to any and all who visit the area.

Amazing. A must do for all visting Salem! Went on both the day and the evening tour. The day tour was the historical tour of Salem. I learnt a great deal of historical information on this tour. It was nice to see a tour guide with real passion for the Town. The night tour was the ghost story tour it was fun and interactive. My hat of to the tour guide who managed to navigate us all thought the city saftly during Halloween night revelry. Each tour is roundabout a hour and a half long and you will not be disappointed. Thank you for 2 amazing tours.

A friend and I took the evening tour with Daniel as our guide. He was excellent! He"s very knowledgable about Salem and the history. He's great at telling a story, keeping you interested, he even included us in on some stories to make it more interactive, which was fun. This was the best thing we did all weekend and will definitely be doing it again.
