Black Cat Historical Day Tour

Overview
Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

I was fortunate in that our tour group only had 4 people, which made the tour itself that much more personalized (especially in comparison to the huge groups we walked past from other tour companies). Daniel was very knowledgeable and receptive of our questions. Getting to tour Salem after dark was quite a treat!

We went on a day tour with Lara as our guide – she was awesome! I love that she got into character and was very passionate about telling the history of Salem and its tales. The tour was one of the highlights of our trip!

My girlfriend and I went on the Evening Ghostly Tour the weekend before Halloween. The tour was focused on witch trials period in Salem. I'm glad we took this tour as our guide, Daniel, made it very interesting and entertaining. He is very knowledgeable, energetic and extremely pleasant. His story-telling ability is unparalleled. There is no better time for such tours as around Halloween. Highly recommended.
