I attended the Wild Encounters event with the Cheetah at the Bronx Zoo and it was amazing!! They brought out two additional surprise animals (a baby alligator and a companion animal, a dog), and we were allowed to pet the alligator and the pet. We were explained that Cheetahs take a long time to trust people so petting the cheetah wouldn’t be possible. None of the animals were drugged, and they were all so well behaved and cute. Special thank you to the two lovely guides, Darlene and Jen who introduced us to the experience so eloquently. They were wonderful, and it showed that they all care for all the animals. This is a cosy experience (max 8ppl) that I would recommend to anybody.

It’s beyond expensive. It cost $80 for general admission only to find out that the holiday lights experience was another $80 and the “experience” is absolute insanity. Yes the lights are pretty but not $160 pretty for a family of three. And attempting to get assistance is laughable. Not to mention the food prices are astronomical. Be prepared to spend a good $250 for a family of three easily.

Lots of walking, but great exhibits and wonderful scenery and architecture. Gorillas were hiding, but we saw some animals we had never before seen.
